Europe pays more than twice as much for electricity as the US or Asia. To reach competitive price levels, Europe has to lean on solar and deliver the flexibility that makes this feasible. Nomos is building a full-stack power company to unlock that flexibility by connecting millions of homes to Europe’s energy markets.

At Nomos, we care about our craft and take full responsibility for what we build. We hire for spikes, not an absence of weaknesses, and look for exceptional ability backed by a record of achievement. This has brought together IMO and IOI medalists, former founders and Olympic athletes in a team whose individual strengths reinforce one another.

Responsibilities

We build software that connects the energy market to thousands of physical assets, and we own almost all of it ourselves. You’ll be directly responsible for building the product, on real projects rather than intern projects.

Own real engineering projects end to end, from working out the problem to shipping it.

Work on our own stack, with AI as part of how you build every day.

Work directly with commercial teams, because the hard problems here are not purely technical.

Own an entire challenge. Recent interns built forecasting functions around seasonality and temperature and owned the build-out of a data analytics pipeline and a liquidity risk monitoring system.
Work where the market meets the physical world. Market events have to reach thousands of devices correctly, and the rules change while the assets are already running. Nobody hands you a defined task.

You’ve excelled at something. You can point to an achievement that took unusual discipline and sustained effort. We want to understand what you accomplished and the work it took to get there.
You’ve demonstrated ownership. You’ve taken responsibility for a project, product, or initiative and seen it through. You can explain your decisions and show the result.
You go where the complexity is. You want to understand the hard part of a system well enough to solve it.
