About the Role

~2 min read

NFF’s Consulting team works with nonprofit organizations, funders, coalitions, networks and other mission-driven partners to support capacity building and financial sustainability. The team partners with nonprofit leaders navigating growth, change, and systemic challenges by providing strategic advice, financial analysis, and capacity-building support. Through customized consulting engagements nationwide, NFF helps organizations strengthen their capacity, sustainability, and impact.

NFF seeks an Initiative Support Associate to strengthen project execution operational effectiveness and client service delivery within the Consulting Department. The Associate will partner closely with consulting staff to coordinate projects and initiatives, maintain accurate project information, track progress against key milestones, and support the operational processes that underpin high quality consulting engagements. While this role is grounded in project coordination and department operations, the Associate will work across teams to facilitate communication, organize information, support compliance and invoicing requirements, and ensure critical project data and documentation remain current and accessible. The Associate will also assist with the review and analysis of client materials, including financial statements and impact data, helping project teams effectively manage information and advance client engagements.

NFF has offices in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Oakland, and Los Angeles. This is a US-based remote role, with a strong preference for candidates within commutable distance to one of NFF’s offices. NFF has core business hours where we expect all staff to be available from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm local time, and occasional travel (20%) is required.
