Nordic Ware is looking for an Industrial Electrician to join our team in a hands-on role that offers variety, stability and work-life balance. Whether you are a Minnesota Class A Journeyman or Master Electrician, you'll play a key role in troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving electrical systems and production equipment in our Saint Louis Park facilities. Enjoy meaningful work without long-distance travel or mandatory overtime while partnering with Maintenance and Production teams to keep operations running safe and efficiently.

What you will get to do:

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and production equipment, including control panels, switchboards, junction boxes, conduit, motors, controls, circuit breakers, and lighting systems.
  • Diagnose electrical issues using wiring diagrams and safely complete repairs and installations in accordance with current electrical codes and industry best practices.
  • Test electrical circuits, components, switches, controls, and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Work with PLCs, switchgear, infrared surveys, and other electrical systems; experience with high voltage up to 13.8kV is a plus.
  • Support facility and production equipment improvements, troubleshooting, and projects to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Work with Maintenance, Production, outside vendors, contractors, and inspectors as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment while following all plant safety policies and regulations.

Additional Master Electrician Responsibilities:

  • Obtain permits and ensure new electrical installations meet current NEC requirements.
  • Schedule and maintain Arc Flash and infrared surveys.
  • Lead electrical projects and coordinate with contractors and vendors.
  • Assist with training and mentoring other electricians.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Valid Minnesota Class A Journeyman Electrician License required.
  • 5-7+ years of electrical experience, with 3-5+ years in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited vocational institution preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including switchboards, control panels, motors, wiring, circuit breakers, and controls.
  • Experience with PLCs, switchgear, infrared/Arc Flash surveys, and high voltage up to 13.8kV is a plus.
  • Knowledge of UL Listing/Certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, comfortable communicating and working effectively with others.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Additional Master-level qualifications:

  • Experience leading electrical projects and training or mentoring other electricians is preferred.
  • Valid Minnesota Class A Master Electrician License or actively working toward obtaining your Master License.
