We are looking for a Laser Engineer to join our highly skilled engineering team in Stockport.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced laser technologies, helping to develop, test, optimise and sustain world-class laser products used by customers around the globe. Working alongside experienced engineers and technical leaders, you will influence product performance, reliability, manufacturability and future innovation.

Responsibilities

→Developing and testing laser systems and optical assemblies
→Building, aligning and characterising laser prototypes
→Analysing performance data and identifying improvement opportunities
→Supporting product validation and manufacturing readiness
→Troubleshooting complex laser, optical and system-level issues
→Collaborating with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Service teams
→Contributing to new product introduction and sustaining engineering activities

Degree in Physics, Photonics, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
Experience with lasers, optics, photonics or electro-optical systems
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability
Experience creating technical reports and test documentation
Passion for solving challenging engineering problems
