Planner [C]

This job is responsible for determining material specifications, creating and maintaining inventory schedules, coordinating with internal departments, and managing external stakeholder relations.

• →Responsible for complex fulfillment and production plans
• →Participate in system or process improvement initiatives to ensure the function has the best tools
• →Review and revise production and fulfillment plans as required by changes in the manufacturing schedules
• →Act as a liaison between Manufacturing, Customer Care, Sales and Product Management, communicating and troubleshooting issues, problems, and concerns
• →Analyzes production plans and inventory reports, availability / requirements for long lead time items to provide production guidance to the manufacturing sites.
• →Assist in the expediting finished goods, when necessary, to support customer order fulfillment
• →Recommend and implement production and transportation actions when products are in out-of-stock or allocation situations.
• →Partners with management/departments on matters related to production or fulfillment planning.
• →Must maintain a well-balanced focus between external and internal customer requirements and possesses.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technical field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing, production management or production planning
• American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification (preferred)
• Proven ability to ensure material availability, while reducing inventory and increasing inventory turns. 
• Systematic approach to analyzing and reducing the supply base to achieve maximize EOQ purchasing for cost effectiveness 
• Team player with strong computer, written, verbal and skills 
• Ability to multitask and manage changing business conditions is essential  
• Previous experience with opto-electronics and PCB commodities,  
• Working experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma environments 
• International purchasing & planning experience a plus 
• Understand and participate in the SIOP (Sales Inventory Operations Planning) process.
