Full-Time Nanny Position (Bethlehem, PA)

Overview
A warm, welcoming family in Bethlehem, PA is looking for a full-time nanny for their two young children, a 2-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl. Their current nanny is leaving after seven months to go back into teaching, and they’d like the next person to stay long-term. Parents will be home, so the nanny usually won’t be caring for both children at once. The family wants someone who takes initiative and has solid experience with toddlers and young children.

From June through September, the family spends summers on Long Beach Island, NJ, about two hours away, and would like the nanny to travel with them. The nanny will have a private bedroom with a shared bathroom while there. The family is also building a home nearby and expects to move within about a year. The new house is very close to their current rental, so the commute won’t change much.

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, engaging care for a 2-year-old and a 1-year-old
• Plan age-appropriate activities, play, and early learning that support development
• Follow and maintain daily routines for naps, meals, and play
• Prepare light meals and snacks for the children
• Do light tidying related to the children (play areas, dishes, laundry as needed)
• Take initiative and communicate openly with parents about each child’s day
• Travel with the family to Long Beach Island, NJ, June–September

Requirements:

• Proven experience caring for toddlers and young children
• Self-starter who takes initiative
• Available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Able and willing to travel and stay with the family June–September
• Reliable transportation for a live-out position
• Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
