Part-Time Split-Shift Nanny Position (/West Bloomfield, MI)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30–9:00 AM and 2:30–5:00 PM

Overview:
A family is looking for a reliable, organized nanny for a long-term split-shift role starting in December. The family has two children, a 7-year-old daughter and a 15-year-old son. Mornings are about getting both children ready and driving them to school. Afternoons cover school pickup and after-school care. The children go to different schools, so good time management and safe, dependable driving are key. The son mainly needs rides to and from school. Most of the hands-on care will be for the daughter: helping with morning routines, after-school activities, homework support and engagement. The family provides a vehicle for all work driving, and parking is available on-site. This is a good fit for a caregiver who wants a steady, predictable schedule with long-term stability.

Responsibilities:

• Help both children get ready for school in the mornings
• Drive both children to and from their schools (different locations) in the family’s vehicle
• Provide engaged after-school care for the 7-year-old, including snacks, homework help and age-appropriate activities
• Keep schedules and school logistics organized for both children
• Keep children’s areas tidy and handle light child-related tasks as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents about the day, schedules and any concerns

Requirements:

• Prior professional nanny or childcare experience, ideally with school-age children
• Valid driver’s license 
• Comfortable driving the family’s vehicle daily on a time-sensitive school route
• Punctual and dependable for early-morning starts and split-shift hours
• Available Monday–Friday on a long-term basis starting December 2026
• Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
