Position: Clinical Nurse Manager - ICU + IMCU
Location: Chicago, IL
Full time/Part time: Full Time, 40 hours/week
Hours: Day shift (Monday-Friday), but flexibility required as hours can vary based on department needs. Management responsibilities will include weekend/nights and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

→Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to established clinical protocols, safety standards, and quality of care. Monitor patient care activities to maintain quality and safety.
→Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Coordinate staff schedules, assignments, and performance evaluations. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
→Ensure the delivery of compassionate, patient-centered care. Address patient and family concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
→Lead quality improvement initiatives, audits, and compliance efforts. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance patient outcomes.
→Efficiently manage unit resources, including staffing, supplies, and equipment. Assist in budget planning and control expenses within the unit.
→Facilitate ongoing education and training for nursing staff to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge. Keep abreast of the latest developments in healthcare.
→Oversee accurate and complete documentation of patient assessments, care plans, and interventions in electronic health records.
→Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures. Maintain a safe and sanitary patient care environment.
→Collaborate with other departments, including physicians, case managers, and ancillary services, to coordinate patient care and optimize the patient experience.

→Bachelors Degree Nursing Required; Masters Degree Nursing Preferred Or Masters Degree Health Administration Preferred
→5+ Years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
→Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Illinois
→Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
→NIHSS Certification
