Position: Laboratory Assistant II
Location: Swedish Hospital
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm, rotating weekend and holidays

Responsibilities

→Provide customer support as a liaison between laboratory and providers.
→Specimen processing and handling according to established guidelines, protocol and procedures.
→Record and document specimen information in Laboratory Information System.
→Prepare and track specimen for transport to reference laboratories.
→Maintain organized records, and are HIPPA compliant.
→Maintain and clean laboratory equipment.
→Assist with inventory control and supply ordering.
→Adhere to all safety protocol and infection control measures, including the proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
→Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including CAP.

→Education: High school Diploma or equivalent
→Certification: N/A
→Experience: 1 year phlebotomy or laboratory experience
→Unique or Preferred Skills: Strong customer service, communicate and organizational skills.
