~1 min readUnder general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, operates radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs used by physicians to detect and treat breast cancer. In doing so, positions patients, adjusts x‑ray equipment to correct setting for each examination, and evaluates films quality. Tests radiologic equipment and maintains quality assurance records. Performs related office duties as necessary. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
- →A High School Diploma or GED
- →Meets all American College of Radiology (ACR)/Modular Open Systems (MQSA) requirements.
- →Preferred: A minimum of an Associate’s Degree or higher
- →ARRT(R)(M) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) (Radiology)(Mammography) certification with current registration
- →IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure
- →Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- →Preferred: Prior Mammography experience
- →Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
