Position: Medical Assistant/Scheduling Assistant, Oncology
Location: Endeavor Health Infusion Center - Arlington Heights, IL
Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hours per 6 week schedule
Hours: Monday-Friday: 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm, no weekends or holidays
Required Travel: Niles Infusion Center (occasionally)

Responsibilities

→Answer phones
→Schedule appointments
→Collect co-payments
→Complete patient registration
→Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
→Check in and check out patient
→Verify insurances
→Greet patients and escort them to exam room
→Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
→Provide front office support as needed
→Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
→Phlebotomy and injections may be required

→Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience, required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred.
→Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred.
→Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
