In this role, the OBT will assist with room set up, welcoming of new patients/ room orientation, discharging and/or transfer of patients.
- Position: OB Tech
- Location: Evanston Hospital, Evanston IL
- Full Time: 36 hours
- Hours: night shift, 1900-0730; with weekend rotation
The OBT’s primary function, under the direction of a registered nurse (RN), following established procedures, is to perform scrub tech duties and patient care tasks necessary to provide for the care, comfort, and safety of patients. The OBT also assists in maintaining supplies and equipment, may perform clerical duties, and will promote general neatness and safety on the unit. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age(s) of the patients served on the assigned unit. Ages of patient served includes: adult age groups, adolescents, and newborns.

Responsibilities

- →Preferred: CNA certification (Current certification on IDPH's health care worker registry) or completion of student nurse clinical rotation
- →Certification:•Current BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association
- →Experience: Experience in surgery or OB strongly preferred
