Position: Patient Care Technician - Central Resource Team/Float Pool
Location: Elmhurst Hospital
Full Time: 36 hour work week
Hours: Night Shift: 6:30 pm - 7:00 am (12 hours) Rotating Holidays/Weekends

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

→Education: N/A
→Certification: Current CPR Certification issues by either American Heart Associates or Basic Life Support
→Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
→Recent hospital PCT experience at least 6 months
→Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
→Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
