Position: Phlebotomist I
Location: Swedish Hospital
Status: Part Time, 8 hours
Hours: Every other Saturday & Sunday -5am-1:30pm; rotating weekends and holidays

→The Phlebotomist I will perform a variety of routine and special phlebotomy procedures as authorized by the Manager/Director.
→Responsible for ordering tests into the Laboratory and Hospital (LIS/HIS) computer systems and documenting Lab receipt of specimens.
→Includes minor processing of various laboratory specimens.
→For inpatients, ensures the proper wristband has been applied prior to scanning with Soft ID handheld device.
→Collects blood samples for specific tests ensuring volume is adequate and correct tubes are utilized.

→Diploma or Vocational Degree Required Or High School Preferred
→Phlebotomy training experience strongly preferred.
→Outgoing compassionate personality.
→Good communication and organizational skills.
→Demonstrated skills in phlebotomy, exceptional customer service skills as well as the ability to work cooperatively with others.
→Basic computer knowledge.
→CPR BLS - American Heart Association (AHA) required and PBT(ASCP) Preferred
