- Position: Phlebotomist II - Per Diem
- Location: Glenbrook Hospital
- Full Time/Part Time: Per Diem
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 5am-9am, 12:30pm-9pm, rotating weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform a variety of routine and special phlebotomy procedures as authorized by the Supervisor/Manager/Director
- →Responsible for ordering tests into the Laboratory and Hospital computer systems and documenting Lab receipt of specimens
- →Collect patient specimens in accordance with test requirements and in a manner which is appropriate for the age and/or specific patient population served
- →Collect blood samples for specific tests ensuring volume is adequate and correct tubes are utilized
- →Education: High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent work experience
- →Certification: CPR-BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider required from the AHA and PBT (ASCP) certification preferred
- →Experience: Phlebotomy training experience strongly preferred
- →Unique or Preferred Skills: Good communication and organization skills, moderate computer skills needed, reliable transportation to travel between sites required, strong customer service skills.
