  • Hours: Monday-Friday, [hours and flexible work schedules]

Responsibilities

  • →Serve as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on research projects with responsibilities including but not limited to: monitoring research budgets, developing and managing research projects, designing experiments and procedures, and performing analysis for publication and presentation
  • →As a Co-Investigator, lead the data analyses of different projects and provide bioinformatic and computational support to the research programs at CPG
  • →Supervise Research Assistants, Post-docs, students and other laboratory personnel conducting experimental procedures and data collection.
  • →Participate in national or international scientific/professional meetings as speaker/presenter
  • →Submit grant applications to internal and external sponsors for research projects as a Principal Investigator/Program Director
  • →Contribute manuscripts annually as a primary author or senior author for manuscripts submitted to peer reviewed journals

  • →Education: Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or M.D., including those conferred outside of the U.S.)
  • →Experience: Between 2-5 years of experience, after conferral of doctorate, either as postdoctoral fellow, in a professional research laboratory, Assistant Professor, or a combination thereof.
  • →Preferred Skills: Bioinformatics or genomics background and skills are preferred.  Strong motivation and potential to develop independent externally-funded research on neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders is a plus
