$33.16 - $51.40 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
- Position: Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem Level I - Nights
- Location: Northwest Community Hospital - Arlington Heights, IL
- Per Diem Level I - Must be able to work 48 hours every 6 weeks. 24 of those hours must be on the weekend.
- Hours: Days will vary Monday-Friday from 7pm - 7:30am, with holidays requirements.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Assists Physicians, as requested with Respiratory Therapy procedures
- →Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures
- →Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment
- →Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians
- →Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
- →Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients
- →Provide patient and staff education
- →Education: Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), required.
- →License/Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligible status, required.
- →State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required within 6 months of employment.
- →Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association, required.
- →ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within 24 months of employment.
