→Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs of patients on telemetry using electrocardiogram (ECG) equipment.
→Recognize and promptly report any significant changes or abnormalities in cardiac rhythms to the nursing staff and healthcare providers.
→Perform routine maintenance and calibration of telemetry equipment to ensure accurate and reliable monitoring.
→Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient cardiac rhythms and related data, documenting any interventions or actions taken.
→Collaborate effectively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate information regarding patient cardiac status.
→Respond to alarms and alerts from telemetry monitors, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure proper functioning of equipment
→Adhere to strict privacy and confidentiality guidelines when handling patient information and telemetry data.
→Stay up-to-date with advancements in telemetry technology and attend mandatory training sessions and in-service education programs.

→Diploma or Vocational Degree General Studies Required or High School General Studies Required
→One year of hospital experience as a Telemetry Technician is preferred; training may be provided.
→Successful completion of an EKG Rhythm Interpretation Course during orientation period, which includes a comprehensive exam. The course must be approved by Endeavor Health Nursing Education.
