Responsibilities

  • →Arrange and lead funeral and memorial services with professionalism, compassion, and respect for families.
  • →Manage all aspects of service planning, including scheduling, locations, transportation, and coordination with vendors such as florists and caterers.
  • →Prepare and file required legal documents (death certificates, permits) and work closely with cemeteries to arrange burials.
  • →Provide logistical support by driving funeral vehicles and delivering flowers, caskets, urns, and personal keepsakes.
  • →Provide evening on-call coverage as part of a rotating schedule to ensure timely response to urgent operational needs.
  • →Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure family needs are met with care and efficiency.
  • →Maintain accurate client records and service documentation.
  • →Handle administrative tasks—including data entry, filing, and phone inquiries—with professionalism and attention to detail.
  • →Uphold compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing funeral service

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English & Spanish, required
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year of funeral industry experience preferred, but not required. We will train the right person.
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality strongly preferred.
  • Warm, professional presence with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications (MS Office Suite, data entry systems).
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
  • Strong multitasking skills; able to stay composed in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Confident speaking in front of groups and engaging with diverse communities.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 20 to 50 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule with weekend availability.
