Our Mission: Care. Comfort. Plan.
At Greenwood Memorial Park, Mortuary & Crematory, we’re building on more than a century of service to San Diego and seeking a Funeral Home Manager who is ready to lead from the front and help shape what comes next. Established in 1907, Greenwood is a respected name in the San Diego community with a long history of serving families during some of the most important moments of their lives. Today, we’re investing in that legacy with a newly renovated funeral home and office space, a strong focus on our people, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for every family we serve. This is more than managing daily funeral home operations. The Funeral Home Manager will have the opportunity to influence the family experience from the first call through final arrangements, develop the next generation of funeral professionals, and help lead an established organization into its next chapter. If you’re an accessible, resourceful, hands-on leader who takes ownership, develops people, and understands that exceptional service begins with a strong team, we want to hear from you.

- Support case volume, revenue objectives, and operational efficiency while maintaining expense discipline.
- Build relationships with local organizations, churches, hospitals, hospices, care facilities, veterans’ organizations, and community partners.
- Partner across funeral home, cemetery, crematory, administration, and sales teams to create a seamless family experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen performance, and drive long-term success.
What You Bring
- California Funeral Director license or the ability to obtain California licensure.
- 5+ years of experience in the funeral profession or a related service-oriented industry.
- 2+ years of leadership experience with demonstrated success leading and developing teams.
- A strong mentorship mindset with a track record of developing employees and future leaders.
- A hands-on, approachable leadership style with a willingness to support both families and team members.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, drive results, and lead through change.
