Must be able to use symcli, Cisco cli, Netapp cli, uemcli, navicli,
EMC software suite such as SRDF, PowerPath, Timefinder, Snap, Clone, ViPR SRM & ESRS
Knowledge of third-party technology such as Netapp and tools like Oncommand Workflow Analyser and Systems Operations Manager
Working knowledge of RHEL, Windows, AIX, Solaris System administration & Virtualization technologies such as Vmware ESX clusters
Basic AIX & VERITAS Volume manager
Knowledge of Netapp OnTap 7.x and 8.x, Windows 2000 / 2003 / 2008 OS.
Knowledge of configuring and supporting SAN attached Windows and CIFS servers (setting up software stack, creating new partitions/aggregates/volumes, failover, snapshots, replication, etc.)
An excellent understanding of the following technologies: TCP/IP - CIFS - NFS - WINS / DNS - DFS - Network Topologies - Active Directory - MS Security patch deploy (ideally Bigfix)
Expertise in supporting Tivoli Storage Manager 5.x , 6.x, 7.x, support of disparate physical and virtual tape libraries, operating systems.
Expertise in one or more programming languages: Korn Shell (or any variant), PERL, SQL.
Deploying, managing, troubleshooting and reporting on Tivoli Storage Manager Versions 5.x – 7.x.
Proficiency in the support and management of physical tape libraries (IBM, Quantum, HPE StoreEver)
SAN & BUR performance monitoring and tuning where required.
Providing Operational Support to the File Serving / NAS Infrastructure within the Bank, dealing with internal client requests for File Serving (share increases, new shares, reporting), planning and implementing data migrations (typically using either Robocopy or Acopia),
Proficiency in the support and management of virtual tape libraries. Expertise in supporting IBM PSeries enterprise infrastructure. Expertise in supporting Enterprise Class Wintel servers.
Experience with liaising with engineering teams and managing vendor teams.
