About the Role

We are looking for kind, reliable and skilled carers to join a small, dedicated care team supporting a young woman with complex health needs as she transitions into adulthood.

The young person lives at home with her family and requires full support with all aspects of daily living, health monitoring, personal care, communication, comfort, safety and wellbeing. This is a rewarding role for experienced care professionals who are confident working in a complex care environment and who can provide safe, compassionate and person-centred support.

The successful applicants will work closely with the young person’s family, clinical lead, on-call nursing team and wider healthcare professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

Requirements

We are looking for applicants who have:

  • Experience supporting children, young people or adults with complex health needs.
  • Previous experience with ventilation, oxygen therapy, suction, PEG feeding, epilepsy care, medication administration or moving and handling, where possible.
  • A calm and confident approach in urgent or emergency situations.
  • Strong observation skills and the ability to notice subtle changes in presentation.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • A compassionate, respectful and reliable attitude.
  • An understanding of safeguarding, infection prevention and control, confidentiality and dignity.
  • The ability to follow detailed care plans and clinical guidance.
  • A willingness to complete all client-specific training and competency assessments.
  • Kind, patient and genuinely committed to making a difference.
  • Reliable, professional and respectful.
  • Confident supporting complex care needs.
  • Calm under pressure and able to follow escalation procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a family home.
  • Observant and able to recognise changes in health or comfort.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a small care team.
  • Committed to promoting dignity, safety, wellbeing and quality of life.
  • Level 2/Level 3 Qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
