TrustMotion part of NXP is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our growing team working on next-generation AI solutions for embedded platforms.

The role focuses on the development, architecture, fine-tuning, optimization, and deployment of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision Language Models (VLMs), with a strong emphasis on bringing AI from concept to execution on hardware platforms.

Responsibilities

→Design, develop, and optimize AI solutions based on LLMs and VLMs
→Independently solve complex AI engineering problems and drive their implementation
→Contribute to the architecture and technical design of AI solutions
→Fine-tune models for specific use cases and domains
→Develop and maintain AI agents using modern agentic frameworks
→Design and develop MCP tools and integrate them into AI agent workflows
→Evaluate model performance, accuracy, latency, and resource utilization
→Deploy and optimize AI models on embedded and edge computing platforms
→Create proof-of-concepts and contribute to product development activities
→Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced team members
→Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies and industry trends

BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
4+ years of relevant professional experience
Strong programming skills
Good understanding of machine learning and deep learning fundamentals
Hands-on experience with LLMs, VLMs, or other Generative AI systems
Experience with model fine-tuning and evaluation techniques
Experience using AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, or similar
Strong understanding of AI system design and software engineering best practices
Experience with Agentic AI frameworks
Experience with MCP tools and AI tool integration
Understanding of version control systems and collaborative software development practices

Nice to Have

Experience with Linux environments
Experience working with multimodal AI systems
Embedded systems experience, particularly in AI model deployment and performance optimization
Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other engineers
