The Contracts department provides oversight, guidance, and assistance in the procurement of goods and services for the furtherance of fulfilling NYCEDC’s mission. The department operates under two annual contracts with the City of New York - (1) “The Master Contract,” and (2) “The Maritime Contract.” The functions of the Contracts Department are divided across Procurement, Contract Administration, and Registrations.

The ideal candidate for the Contracts department is a solutions-oriented and process-driven individual who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys navigating the intersection of procurement, compliance, and strategic planning. You’re energized by improving processes, thinking two steps ahead, and ensuring that all details align with broader organizational goals. 

You likely have experience managing multiple procurement or contract-related projects, balancing priorities and deadlines, and building strong relationships with internal and external partners. You possess a sharp eye for identifying inefficiencies or risks and take a proactive approach to solving problems through thoughtful analysis and creative strategies.
