Psychiatrist II (non-competitive)

• →Design, conduct, and analyze research studies on the neural basis of psychiatric disorders
• →Direct an independent research laboratory, including supervision of research staff and trainees
• →Collaborate with clinical investigators and other faculty on translational/cross-species projects
• →Prepare manuscripts, presentations, and grant applications
• →Ensure compliance with applicable institutional, state, and federal research regulations

• MD and PhD degrees
• Current license and registration to practice medicine in New York State
• Completion of an approved training program in psychiatry
• Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry
• Postdoctoral training in neuroscience
• Extensive experience running an independent research laboratory
• Track record of external research funding
• Demonstrated record of independent research and peer-reviewed publications in neuroscience or psychiatric research
