We’re seeking a friendly and reliable Lead Customer Service Representative to assist with the daily operations of our Family Recreation Center. In this role, you will provide excellent service to guests, work with our recreation software and technology, handle inquiries, and support various functions within the center.
This position offers approximately 25 hours per week, not to exceed an average of over 29 hours per week.
Memorial Day - Labor Day general hours requested: Monday - Thursday 4:15pm - 10:15pm, Saturday 12:15pm - 4:15pm
Labor Day - Memorial Day general hours requested: Monday - Thursday 4:15pm - 10:15pm, Saturday 12:15pm - 6:15pm
The Front Desk Customer Service Representative reports directly to the Facility Manager at the Family Recreation Center.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Provide direct support to the Family Recreation Center Facility Manager.
- Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
- Be familiar with Park District facilities and offerings including yet not limited to the following:
operating hours, website content, membership information, program information, program changes, and special events. - Process all memberships, program registrations, and point of sale transactions in a timely and
accurate manner. - Efficiently resolve all membership, program registration, and point of sale issues.
- Good decision making and the ability to effectively deal with upset customers is required.
- Regularly communicate with the Family Recreation Center Facility Supervisor on Park District
matters. - Engage in open, honest, and respectful communication internally and externally.
- Work with other staff members to address facility, program, and service issues.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Attend scheduled customer service training sessions.
- Focus on welcoming diversity, encouraging inclusion and creating equity for all.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING:
- Valid Illinois driver's license (Class D)
- Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification required or training provided by the Park District
- Proficient computer skills required, including familiarity with basic office software and the ability to learn internal systems quickly.
