You will be required to assist in all aspects of credit analysis, loan structuring, and lending support, which may at times extend beyond the duties listed below.
Managing the day-to-day assessment of lending applications, including reviewing client financial information, conducting servicing and borrowing capacity assessments, analysing lender policy, identifying credit risks, and preparing high-quality credit submissions to support successful lending outcomes.
This will require you to liaise with brokers, lenders, clients, business development managers, and third parties to assess lending scenarios, recommend suitable loan structures, resolve policy and servicing issues, and ensure applications are positioned effectively for approval. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, updating CRM systems, supporting brokers with complex lending enquiries, and ensuring all submissions meet lender and compliance requirements.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Analyse client income, liabilities, assets, expenses, and servicing capacity.
- Review supporting documentation including income verification, financial statements, taxation documents, and other relevant records.
- Conduct servicing calculations using lender calculators and scenario assessment tools.
- Research and compare lender policies to identify suitable lending solutions.
- Structure loan applications to maximise approval outcomes while meeting client objectives.
- Identify credit risks, policy exceptions, and potential mitigation strategies.
- Prepare detailed and professional credit submissions for lender assessment.
- Provide brokers with recommendations regarding lender selection, loan structure, and application strategy.
- Liaise with lenders and BDMs regarding policy clarification and application requirements.
- Support brokers with complex lending scenarios and credit enquiries.
- Monitor application progress and assist in resolving credit and policy-related issues throughout the approval process.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, file notes, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure all applications comply with responsible lending obligations, lender requirements, and internal policies.
- Assist with quality assurance reviews and file audits as required.
- Stay informed of lender policy updates, industry changes, and market developments.
- Use document management and digital workflow systems to manage workload effectively.
- Support brokers and operations teams with general lending, credit, and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
~1 min read- A higher education degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Australian mortgage lending and credit support.
- Strong understanding of Australian lending policies and credit assessment principles.
- Experience assessing a broad range of lending scenarios and borrower profiles.
- Strong experience using ApplyOnline (AOL), lender portals, CRM systems, aggregator platforms (e.g., MyCRM, Loanapp, Salesforce, HubSpot), and related loan lodgement systems.
- Experience with Quickli and other servicing and scenario assessment tools is highly regarded.
- Ability to interpret financial statements, taxation documents, income verification records, and supporting financial documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple applications, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare professional credit submissions and liaise effectively with stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and cloud-based systems.
