OCL Group Inc., is proudly 100% Canadian owned and operated. We are a privately held, employee-owned, fully integrated general contractor with design-build solutions across Western Canada. We have been serving the energy and municipal infrastructure markets since 2009.

About The Role 

We are currently seeking Equipment Operators to support civil projects for CNRL Horizon. Camp and flights from either Calgary and/or Edmonton provided. 

We are looking for experienced operators for the following pieces of equipment:
Rock Trucks
Excavators
Dozers
Packers 

What We Offer 

• CLAC hourly wage depending on experience
• Payday is every Friday

• Paid training
• 10% vacation and stat holiday pay on regular earnings
• OT at 1.5 after 8 hours per day

What You Will Be Doing 

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in heavy civil environments
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, finish grading, and earthmoving tasks to specifications
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance
• Follow site plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions to meet project tolerances
• Work collaboratively with ground crews and other operators to ensure safe and productive site operations
• Assist with general labour or other equipment operation when required
• Adhere to company safety policies, procedures, and industry best practiced

What We Are Looking For 

• Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience (civil earthworks preferred)
• Proven experience as a finish grade operator with the ability to achieve precise tolerances
• Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, compaction, and earthmoving practices
• Ability to read and follow construction drawings, grade stakes, and GPS systems (asset)
• Safety certifications: CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance 201
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship
• Valid driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and ability to pass pre-employment requirements
• Must be able to work legally in Canada
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
