We're looking for a Mechanical Product Development Engineer to join our forward-thinking, dynamic team and support the development of game-changing sensor systems for the biopharmaceutical industry. Do you want to be part of a growing company that's shaping new possibilities in the field? Come join us at ArgusEye and be part of our journey!

About the role

In this role, you'll work hands-on with the mechanical design and development of advanced hardware devices that integrate with our sensor technology for biopharma applications.

You'll be involved throughout the product development process – from concept development and detailed mechanical design to prototyping, testing, manufacturing, certification, and final product implementation.

A key part of the role is translating product requirements and engineering concepts into robust, manufacturable mechanical solutions. You'll work closely with other engineers, suppliers and manufacturing partners, creating and maintaining CAD models, assemblies, technical drawings and product documentation.

You'll join a multidisciplinary development team where you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of your designs while developing your skills and gradually taking on broader responsibilities.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies and hardware systems using CAD tools (SolidWorks)

  • Create production-ready technical drawings using GD&T (ISO GPS)

  • Develop mechanical concepts and turn them into manufacturable designs

  • Manage CAD data, drawings, BOM, revisions and product structures using PLM/PDM systems

  • Apply DFM/DFA principles and select appropriate materials and manufacturing methods

  • Work directly with suppliers and manufacturing partners on prototypes and production parts

  • Build and assemble prototypes and support hands-on testing

  • Verify designs and troubleshoot mechanical issues during development and production

  • Collaborate with colleagues working with software and sensor technology

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of our products and hardware development processes

We're looking for someone who...

..enjoys turning engineering ideas into physical products.

You have a strong interest in mechanical design and manufacturing and are comfortable working both in CAD and hands-on with prototypes and hardware. You understand that good mechanical design goes beyond creating a 3D model – dimensions, tolerances, materials, manufacturing processes, assembly and documentation all matter when turning a concept into a reliable product.

You enjoy solving practical engineering problems and working closely with colleagues, suppliers and manufacturers. You're comfortable taking ownership of your own engineering tasks while collaborating with other disciplines as part of a small development team.

About you

  • A master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related engineering field

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical design and/or product development

  • Strong practical experience with CAD tools (Preferably SolidWorks)

  • Good knowledge and practical experience with GD&T (ISO GPS)

  • Experience working with PLM/PDM systems, including management of CAD files, drawings, revisions and BOM

  • Practical understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM/DFA

  • Experience creating manufacturing drawings and technical documentation

  • Experience working with suppliers or manufacturers to bring designed components into production

  • Hands-on experience with prototyping, assembly, testing and troubleshooting

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering team

  • Experience from regulated industries such as biopharma, MedTech, automotive or similar is a plus.

  • Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following is considered a plus: fluid mechanics, electronics, optics, simulation tools such as ANSYS, and quality management systems.

Why join us?

  • Be part of a supportive, dynamic team where your contributions are valued

  • Grow your career in an innovative, fast-paced industry

  • Learn from our customers and attend industry and R&D conferences to grow professionally

  • Enjoy the freedom to take ownership of your work, supported by a flexible and relaxed environment that values responsibility

  • Experience a family-like atmosphere filled with collaboration, curiosity, and team activities like music quizzes, bowling and Friday fika
