O’Hagan Meyer is looking for an organized and professional litigation Legal Assistant to join our New York City law office. This individual will provide vital assistance to a team of attorneys by handling case-related tasks, preparing a variety of legal documentation, and managing case files. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in legal terminology, and understands the electronic filing procedures in State and Federal Courts. This will be full-time, remote position.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide comprehensive litigation support to multiple attorneys, managing heavy and complex caseloads
- →Prepare, revise, proofread, and format pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and correspondence in compliance with applicable court rules
- →Prepare court filings for state, federal and appellate courts, including electronic and traditional filings
- →Coordinate travel arrangements. Prepare, submit, and track travel and expense reimbursements
- →Assist with discovery and trial support, including document production, exhibit preparation, and court filings. Support scanning, photocopying, and binder preparation as needed
- →Create and maintain filing systems and databases in compliance with office policies to ensure accurate and efficient data retrieval
- →Maintain and monitor litigation calendars, including deadlines, hearings, depositions, and trial dates
- →Perform other duties as assigned

Salary: $61,000 to $115,000
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's Degree, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of prior work experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or related role in litigation.
- Must have New York courts filing experience
- Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, NYSCEF, Pacer and ECF Filing Systems
- Previous iManage experience preferred but not required
- Prior remote work
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
- Strong understanding of client confidentiality rules
