Clinical Therapist (Youth IHBT) Cuyahoga County-Sign On Bonus

• Monthly bonus! (depending on productivity)
• $1500 sign on bonus!

Must be able to:

• Work with a caseload of 6 clients (hold cases for 180 days)
• Go in the clients homes 3-4 times a week
• Ok with on call rotation every 2 weeks (stipend included)
• Work full-time 
• Ok working with ages 6-21 years old
• Create your schedule around the needs of the clients 
• Must have 2-3 years of experience minimum

IHBT (Intensive Home Based Treatment)
A time-limited, highly rigorous family intervention and empowerment initiative designed for children and adolescents (typically ages 6 to 17) experiencing severe emotional or behavioral challenge.

• Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of OhioGuidestone every day, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity and ethics.
• Provide individual, family and group counseling and psychotherapy to assigned caseload, which may require specialty therapeutic services (e.g. SUD, Maternal Depression, etc.).
• Provide emergency response early childhood mental health services to children birth through age 6 and families referred through the Cuyahoga County Central Coordinator within 24 hours of referral.
• Complete documented evidence-based Treatment Plan after the first encounter with client and documented review of Plan and progress toward therapy goal(s)/objective(s) in each progress note thereafter
• Develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship with client, family, caregivers, and community providers to provide support and coordination as appropriate.
• Provide trauma informed developmentally appropriate and relationship-based interventions utilizing play, art, music, and other expressive therapeutic approaches to support the social-emotional development and stabilization of young children and families.
• Respond to mental health emergencies in a culturally responsive manner to support clients in a framework and manner that acknowledges their unique and intersecting personal and cultural identities.
• Identify appropriate interventions for clients in crisis, working effectively with the staff to access appropriate resources, and engaging community partners and supporting stabilization planning for young children and families.
• Partner collaboratively with Invest in Children, a community-wide public/private partnership administered by the Cuyahoga County Office of Early Childhood, and other community systems to support timely access to services and continuity of care.
• Provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS), and/or care coordination functions if needed.
• Serve as a liaison to coordinate, makes referrals, or arrange for appropriate community resources when needed, acts as an advocate for the client as needed.
• Actively participate in treatment conferences and meetings for the clients; maintain ongoing frequent contact with other assigned OhioGuidestone professionals or outside agency professionals assigned to case.
• Accurately and promptly, document and maintain client and family interactions including, legal, financial, and clinical documentation within agency guidelines.
• Attend and participate in regular supervision.
• Maintain all required licenses.
• Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
• Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and a culture of belonging.
• Present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.

• LSW, LPC, or MFT license and related educational requirement.
• Bachelor’s degree from accredited program or higher. Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with adults, young children and families preferred.
• Knowledge of Infants, Early Childhood, Adolescent or Adult Mental Health principles required.

• Ability to maintain relevant, timely documentation as required.
• Effective computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health records, etc.
• Must be able to access work locations, offices, community settings, early learning programs, and homes as necessary, which may include ascending/descending stairs.
• Possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
• Successfully complete pre-employment screenings, including drug tests, background checks, and any other required assessments, such as a physical examination and TB test.

We require and cover the cost of fingerprint background screening, physical, Tuberculosis test, and drug screen after an employment offer is made.
