Ohme has been selling its chargers to consumers since mid 2019 and has had exponential growth since. We are now operating in multiple countries and have partnerships with the likes of VW, Mercedes, Octopus Energy, and other innovative brands.

Ohme is looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel with 3-5 years PQE to join a dynamic and growing legal team. Reporting directly to the Group General Counsel, you will play a crucial role in a fast-paced, innovative tech firm. You will sit within a close-knit team of four high calibre lawyers who all have ex-US firm backgrounds and will have the opportunity to shape and develop junior lawyers as the team continues to expand. The Group’s legal team is based in London and manages Ohme’s worldwide legal operations across the UK, Europe, South America and Australia.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts including wholesale and other sales agreements
- →Reviewing and advising on risks in supplier contracts
- →Drafting and negotiating NDAs
- →Supporting and advising the sales, marketing, engineering and customer care teams
- →Managing consultancy agreements and employment legal support
- →Advising on Privacy and Data Protection matters
- →Advising on SaaS agreements
- →Managing external counsel across multiple jurisdictions
- →Delivering company training and providing compliance support (policies, legal updates)
- →Assisting with corporate matters (board/shareholder resolutions and company secretary)
- England & Wales qualified (essential) solicitor with 3-5 years PQE with a commercial/tech/corporate law background with training from a US/City firm (indicative PQE – we are open to seeing candidates who have relevant experience)
- In-house experience is beneficial but not essential
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills. Excellent knowledge of contract law required. Energy experience is beneficial
- A proactive self-starter and hands-on approach
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Confidence working across all levels of the business
- Organised and commercially focused mindset
- A team player willing to pitch in and support colleagues
- Additional European language skills is a plus
- Work in a progressive and innovative tech firm at the forefront of energy transition
