We are looking for an Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team.

8+ years' experience of C software development in an embedded environment
Proven ability to work autonomously from task specification through to completion with minimal supervision
Experience developing low level software on microcontrollers e.g. STM32, NXP LPC, NXP i.MX/i.MX RT, Renesas
Experience developing code for systems based on an RTOS (FreeRTOS, Thread X, etc)
An understanding of Digital Electronics and how to interface hardware with firmware
Strong commitment to code quality: well-structured and well-commented modular approach.
Experience with unit testing frameworks and methodologies for embedded systems
Experience of analogue to digital signal sampling and processing techniques
Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience of the software development lifecycle from concept to production, and into maintenance
Good university degree (or equivalent), ideally in computer science or electronic engineering, although other graduates would be considered if you have relevant experience

Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices
Experience with CMake build system
Experience of C++ in an embedded environment
Experience of building test harness applications using Python
Familiar with writing manual and automated test cases
Experience in low level interfaces, particularly CAN
Working experience in wireless communications, particularly for HTTPS and WebSockets over cellular and WiFi
Familiar with Agile principles and best practices such as peer review, pair programming etc
Experience with code optimization techniques for embedded systems

Responsibilities

→Design, Code and Test firmware for embedded systems
→Contribute to the improvement of the structure and design of the codebase for future scalability
→Maintain released products.
→Provide third-level support. Debug and identify root-causes with a variety of hardware and firmware issues
→Build and maintain an automated testing harness for embedded system devices
→Create and execute manual and automated test cases using Ohme’s test case management system
