The Rehabilitation Research and Training Center (LU-RRTC) on Research and Capacity Building for Minority Entities at Langston University invites applications for the Advanced Rehabilitation Research and Training (ARRT) program post-doctoral research fellow position. Requirements

  • Ph.D./Ed.D.

    We are seeking self-motivated and talented applicants with the ability to think critically and excellent interpersonal communication skills.  In addition, applicants must meet the following criteria:  

    • Satisfactory completion of all academic requirements for a doctoral degree from an accredited university in one of the following branches of rehabilitation; rehabilitation counseling, psychology, special education, social work, rehabilitation teaching, counseling, orientation and mobility, physical therapy, occupational therapy, communication [speech] therapy, and nursing; or economics and health statistics/mathematics, or other related areas
    • A demonstrated interest in the rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities as evidenced by prior relevant professional and/or research experiences.
    • A strong commitment to obtaining employment as a faculty member or researcher at an institution of higher learning or research center.
    • Long-term academic goals related to the pursuit of research in a related area of disability and employment research.

    A willingness to commit two years to advanced rehabilitation research training

The initial appointment is for 24 months based upon campus policy, with renewal based on performance and funding. This is a full-time appointment. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, and based on Langston University's Postdoc salary scale, including benefits.
