About the Role
~1 min readThe College of Arts and Career Services Coordinator will engage in activities to promote career development and job search skills for students. They will cultivate and maintain relationships with departments and faculty in the college and serve as participating staff member to Offices of OSU Career Services and CAS Student Academic Service. Travel is required in performing the job. Local/regional travel for employer development and special events as needed. Professional development seminars or conferences 1-2 times per year. Work schedule other than Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, includes employer visits, alumni receptions, recruiting events and career fairs may all occur evenings or weekends.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's and 1 year of related experience (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

A candidate must have:
Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and public relationship skills. Ability to make sensitive decisions and deal with issues of confidentiality. Ability to manage several projects with multiple deadlines simultaneously. Demonstrated experience with PC applications. High energy, self-starter who can work with minimal supervision. 1 year of related experience required. Work experience in higher education or business setting involving significant interaction with students or the public. Experience in teaching or making presentations to groups in a business setting.
Additional post-secondary education beyond requirements may substitute for years of required experience.
- 1) Bachelor's degree, 2) 3 years of related experience - OR - 2 year of related experience and demonstrated progress toward an applicable advanced degree, 3) Working knowledge of department systems
Significant interaction with students, faculty, employers, and alumni to provide services and coordinate events. Weekly interaction with staff of OSU Career Services and CAS Student Academic Services. Additional contact with CAS departments and faculty, CAS Business Office, and service providers across campus as needed.
