Oliver Inc. is looking for an experienced, committed and passionate Die Cutter Operator to join our great team. The ideal candidate will have general knowledge of printing and operated as a die cutting pressman. The person will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, monitoring, and operating a die cutting machine: dismantle previous job, log impressions on saved jobs with date, press and chase number, or dispose of dies as marked, pull samples and glue set to check for accuracy, according to the specifications. The Die Cutter Operator will focus on continuously checking for accuracy and quality, monitor the machine, and correct problems. The person will be responsible for the quality of the die cutting of finished products.
What You'll Do
As our Die Cutter Operator, you will:

Set up, adjust, and operate die cutting equipment to produce folding carton packaging according to job specifications and quality standards.

Prepare and manage all processes associated with die cutting, including stripping, blanking, and waste removal.

Read and interpret job tickets, specifications, and production requirements to ensure accurate setup and production.

Monitor the press throughout the run and make adjustments as needed to maintain consistent quality, registration, and production efficiency.

Inspect finished product for defects and ensure cartons meet customer specifications and Oliver Inc. quality standards.

Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor mechanical repairs on equipment.

Identify and resolve common operating issues and escalate more complex mechanical or quality issues when necessary.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety procedures.

Work closely with other pressroom and production team members to meet production schedules and customer requirements.

Maintain accurate production and quality records as required.

Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, productivity, and attention to detail are essential.
Qualifications
-
2+ years of hands-on experience operating a die cutter in a commercial printing or packaging environment.

Folding carton experience strongly preferred.

Experience with die cutting, stripping, blanking, and related finishing processes.

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to make machine adjustments and perform minor repairs.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and understand job specifications, production instructions, and measurements.

Strong math skills and attention to detail.

Good hand-eye coordination and close visual attention to detail for inspecting printed and die-cut packaging.

Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Dependable, team-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality work.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of a manufacturing/pressroom environment.
