About the Role
~1 min readAs a Senior Medical Writer, you will take a leading role in developing scientifically rigorous and creatively engaging communication materials that support clients’ medical and promotional strategies. You will act as a trusted expert for both internal teams and clients, providing strategic scientific input, guiding junior writers, and ensuring excellence from concept to delivery.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead the development of scientific content, ensuring alignment with client goals, brand strategy, and industry best practices.
- →Provide strategic scientific direction during content planning and campaign execution.
- →Conduct and oversee bibliographic research, ensuring all materials are accurate, evidence-based, and compliant.
- →Write, edit, and adapt complex scientific materials—including slide decks, monographs, publications, and training documents—maintaining clarity, accuracy, and adherence to guidelines.
- →Oversee the preparation and delivery of complete reference sets using Veeva, ensuring quality and compliance.
- →Manage client feedback processes, ensuring timely integration and consistency across deliverables.
- →Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to support content development and approvals.
- →Mentor junior writers, providing feedback, guidance, and support in skill development.
- →Represent the medical writing function in client meetings, contributing to strategic discussions and providing scientific expertise.
- Must have a health science degree (e.g. in biology, pharmacy or medicine). PhD is a plus
- 5 years of experience in medical writing and scientific content supervision in marketing and advertising contexts.
- Ability to communicate medical/technical information to a wide variety of audiences
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
- Attention to detail and absolute reliability in meeting delivery deadlines
- Team player who can foster positive relationships between the department and other agency teams, such as creatives and account managers
- Experience with reference managers such as EndNote is a plus
