Job Summary:
The Maintenance Support Technician is a developmental role designed for individuals beginning a career in industrial maintenance. The position will initially focus heavily on preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, work orders, and basic repairs while building hands-on troubleshooting skills. As knowledge and capability grow, the technician will gradually take on more complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance responsibilities.
Conveniently located in Greendale, Indiana—just 15 minutes from CVG Airport, 25 minutes from the Cincinnati Zoo and downtown Cincinnati, and only a few minutes from the Lawrenceburg casino—offering an easy commute and access to local attractions.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8AM-5PM and Fridays 6:30AM-3PM.
No on-call responsibility and weekends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems under the direction of the Maintenance Lead.
- Complete routine equipment inspections, lubrication, cleaning, adjustments, and basic repairs to help prevent equipment downtime.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
- Apply foundational knowledge of motor controls and single-phase and three-phase electrical systems while working safely within training and authorization levels.
- Assist with basic maintenance of motors, sensors, switches, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, ovens, machining centers, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Execute and document preventative maintenance and repair work orders in the Visual/IQM system.
- Learn to read and use electrical schematics, technical manuals, equipment documentation, and basic diagnostic tools.
- Assist experienced technicians with equipment installations, repairs, and equipment movement as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment concerns or abnormal conditions promptly.
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and safe electrical work practices.
- Demonstrate company core values and maintain strong attendance and reliability.
- Participate in hands-on training and progressively develop troubleshooting and repair capabilities.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Currently enrolled in, recently completed, or graduated from an Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Technology, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related technical program; or possess equivalent relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of related maintenance, technical, manufacturing, internship, co-op, lab, or hands-on training experience preferred.
- Foundational knowledge of motor controls and single-phase and three-phase electrical systems required.
