This role combines deep technical expertise, client-facing engagement, and leadership responsibilities. You will design, implement, and optimize backend services, drive delivery excellence, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams. What You'll Do & The Impact You'll Have Lead backend system design, estimation, and implementation efforts. Build and deploy highly scalable APIs on AWS, applying best practices in networking (VPC, DNS, NLB, Cloud NAT). Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines and ensure secure deployments with CORS, WAF, and IAM policies. Act as the client-facing technical lead during discussions, deep-dives, and delivery presentations. Guide L3–L5 engineers, review architecture decisions, and mentor team members. Deliver large components/modules, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and scale. Balance 50% leadership (reviews, client alignment) and 50% individual contribution (core components, POCs). Requirements What You'll Bring to the Table Must-Have Skills: Strong communication skills: fluent in English or a native ASEAN language Expert in Python or TypeScript programming patterns Experience designing and deploying scalable APIs on AWS Deep understanding of networking: VPC, DNS, NLB, Cloud NAT Ownership of CI/CD pipelines and secure deployment practices Leadership experience: guiding engineers and reviewing architecture Delivery excellence: owning large modules, client-facing responsibilities Nice-to-Have Skills: Designing cost-efficient architectures using AWS cost tools Building advanced queuing pipelines (Kafka, SQS + Lambda) Implementing multi-tenant backend systems Establishing SOC2-aligned logging and tracing Defining and enforcing REST API versioning standards Benefits What We Bring to the Table Impact-First Culture: Your work directly contributes to real-world AI solutions and business outcomes.
