Summary The Warehouse associate is responsible for completing shipments by processing (inbound or outbound) and loading orders. This is a Safety-Sensitive position. Key Responsibilities · Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area · Accepts orders from vendors and delivery services · Maintains truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements; arranging for repairs when necessary · Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests · Maintains quality service by following organization standards · Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules and regulations · Complete reports by entering required information · Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as necessary · Other duties as assigned · Physical Demands · Employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms · Frequently required to lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds · Required to use typical warehouse equipment such as forklifts, handjacks, hand tools, and cleaning equipment · Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing and participate in random testing program · Position requires working indoors and outdoors in a warehouse environment · Must possess valid driver’s license and are required to drive company vehicles Minimum Qualifications: Technical Skills: · Must be detail-oriented · Must have a valid driver’s license. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred · Must have good customer service skills and overall understanding of warehouse operations · Must have strong organizational, time management and prioritization abilities · Must be a team player Soft Skills: · Communicate in person, by phone and radio with supervisor and co-workers · Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions · Must be able to work with a team, and independently as required   Supervisory Requirements No supervisory requirements Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 5:00 pm with overtime requirements or as directed by leadership. The work schedule is subject to change depending on market conditions which may require overtime, night work and/or weekend work. Travel Depending on market location and/or conditions, travel may be required.
