SUMMARY
The Assembler's main responsibility is to carry out the assembly activities required for project manufacturing while contributing to quality and continuous improvement within the department.
 

TASKS

• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of projects based on available work instructions and plans;
• Perform light mechanical machining (fitting and fabrication of parts), as well as the manufacturing and installation of electrical wiring;
• Ensure the quality of the assembly in compliance with established standards; 
• Rigorously document task completion;
• Carry out tasks requiring frequent movement around the shop floor, working in various postures (standing, crouching or on the ground), and handling heavy loads; 
• Actively participate in the department's continuous improvement initiatives;
• Perform any other related tasks to support project operations.

REQUISITE SKILLS

• DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in a relevant technical field (electronics, mechanics) or equivalent experience;
• 5 to 8 years of proven experience in the field;
• Good manual dexterity;
• Strong mechanical comprehension and a holistic view of the project to efficiently plan and execute assembly steps; 
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings (mechanical and electrical);
• Meticulousness, rigor and strong attention to details; 
• Team player mindset and openness to learning; 
• High level of resourcefulness, curiosity and willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, particularly artificial intelligence; 
• Functional bilingualism (intermediate French and English) to collaborate with teams.
