Optima is currently seeking a Level 1 IT Support Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing frontline technical support to staff across our clinic locations, ensuring reliable day-to-day operation of hardware, software, and network systems. The Level 1 IT Support Specialist will work closely with end users, clinic administrators, and the IT team to troubleshoot issues, escalate complex problems as needed, and deliver timely resolutions that support operational continuity and staff productivity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot minor IT issues; escalate as necessary.
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes, including device preparation and recovery.
- Collaborate with Level 2/3 teams for escalated issues or special projects.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, workstations, and related equipment.
- Travel to clinic locations to perform on-site support as needed.
- Document all issues via a ticketing system.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of related experience.
- Proficient in installing and troubleshooting PC hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
- Passion for technology and enthusiasm to learn.
Preferred:
- CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco IT certifications or training.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts.
- Experience working in a HIPAA-regulated or healthcare IT environments.
