Orange Money Accountant

To ensure proper recording and accurate reporting of all accounting entries for Orange Money Operations. To ensure adherence to Orange Money internal controls related to accounting and compliance with policies

• Manage accounts in Orange Money operation in order to provide quality
• accounts in compliance with deadlines and national and international accounting policies
• Recording of all orange money transactions from shops and dealers
• Assist in the maintenance of the Orange Money general Ledger
• Ensure accurate recording of Orange Money revenue
• Ensure proper recording of Orange Money cash receipts
• Prepare weekly and monthly Bank reconciliations for all bank accounts with orange Money transactions
• Ensure adherence to all internal and group control matrix for Orange Money operations.
• Reconcile ledger vs. Tango, for Orange money entries
• Review reconciliations between ERP and Tango prepared by shops.
• Assist in all Orange Money audit engagement
• Maintain Orange Money audit file.
• Verify accuracy of Orange Money financials prepared by Orange Money team.
• Ensure completeness of ERP posting of statements on a weekly basis.
• Maintain and improve the monthly closing process to ensure all Orange Money accounting deliverables are prepared and submitted on time.
• Any other ad hoc projects or activities from Finance Director

• Skills:

• Strong accounting knowledge

• Masters Degree in Finance and Accounting plus qualified ACCA. BICA registered
• Minimum 3 Years experience in an accounting or audit department.
