The Energy Development Services Division administers programs that provide financing and incentives to homeowners, renters, businesses, organizations, nonprofits, Tribes, schools, consumer-owned utilities, and public bodies installing projects that increase energy efficiency, generate renewable energy, encourage community resilience, or support the alternative fuels market.

Responsibilities
~1 min readThis position supports the agency’s energy incentive and grant programs by conducting research, performing technical reviews, and analyzing applications and deliverables. It ensures compliance with applicable statutes, administrative rules, and program objectives, helping to promote the equitable and effective distribution of state energy resources.

This is a full-time, limited-duration position that is represented by a union.
Limited duration positions are benefit-eligible positions with a designated maximum length of service. This position is expected to June 30, 2029; however, it could end at any time or, depending on funding, could be extended.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to Energy Incentive programs that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years’ experience coordinating or administering a program
OR
- Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five (5) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.
The most successful candidate will also have the following skills, experience, and background:
- Experience evaluating program guidelines and utilizing analytical skills and sound decision-making skills to assess compliance and ensure consistency in the application of program rules.
- Experience conducting outreach and maintaining positive relationships with the public, stakeholders, diverse community/stakeholder groups, other agencies, and Tribal and local governments.
- Experience maintaining a database, capturing data, updating data, analyzing data, generating reports, and reporting out to stakeholders.
- Experience working in or with governmental agencies.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the state, as needed
- Knowledge about renewable energy systems or energy resilience is preferred but not required.
