Osmo's finance function is still being built, and that's the opportunity. The Office of the CFO needs a partner who can bring financial rigor to a company moving fast, keep the organization running day to day, and give department leaders a counterpart they can trust with real decisions — not someone who waits to be handed a finished process.

This role owns the full range of FP&A work: modeling, budgeting, reporting, and business partnership across the company. You'll be trusted with real ownership from day one, and the tenacity to chase down a broken process until it's actually fixed, the curiosity to ask why a number looks the way it does instead of just reporting it, and the kindness to make that pressure feel like partnership to the people you work with, will matter as much as the technical skill.

  Own the Corporate Model — Maintain, extend, and defend the long-range P&L, cash forecast, and scenario analyses that anchor company decisions, including one-off models for calls like make-vs-buy, pricing, headcount ROI, and capital allocation.

  Run Department Budgeting — Build and maintain department-level budgets, track actuals vs. plan monthly, and own the variance narrative — not just reporting the gap, but working with the business leader to explain why it happened and what it means.

  Partner on Close — Support month-end close with the Controller and own the financial reporting deliverables and management reporting package that come out of it.

  Support the Board and Investors — Prepare board- and investor-facing materials: slides, data room exhibits, ad hoc analyses, and due diligence support during active fundraising.

  Build the Data Infrastructure — Design and maintain the pipeline connecting business systems to the corporate model, automating the manual bridges that exist today rather than living with them.

  Automate the Recurring Work — Build and maintain automations for reporting, reconciliation, variance alerts, and close checklists — curiosity applied to the question of what shouldn't require a human every month.

  Apply Real AI Judgment — Evaluate new AI tools with genuine curiosity, and the discipline to know what's worth building, what's worth buying, and what's not worth the distraction.

  Be Finance's Front Door — Serve as the primary point of contact for department heads, translating the numbers into plain language and surfacing the right questions with the kind of directness that earns trust.

  Own Cross-Functional Projects — Take on work that doesn't fit cleanly inside one department — this is the CFO's execution resource when something needs a financially-minded owner with the tenacity to see it through.

  Run Operational Infrastructure — Own vendor management, contract administration, compliance filings, and platform administration that keep the company running.

• Experienced in FP&A — 4-8 years in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or a comparably rigorous financial analytical role.

• A Real Modeler — You can build a clean, auditable model from scratch, and you have the curiosity to notice when one is wrong instead of trusting it blindly.

• An Independent Owner — You've carried significant work end to end across multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders, with the tenacity to push things to done.

• A Sharp Writer — Concise, well-organized, no wasted words.

• Tech-Forward — You use AI tooling actively, have some comfort with scripting or APIs, and treat automation as a first-order part of the job, not an afterthought.

• Comfortable in the Gray — You make reasonable judgment calls with incomplete information rather than waiting for permission.

• ERP Fluent — Experience with ERP or accounting systems at the transaction level; NetSuite preferred.

• Built Something Before — You've built or maintained data pipelines, automations, or integrations in a finance context, not just used the ones someone else built.

• Startup-Tested — Experience at a venture-backed startup (Series A/B/C) in a finance or business operations capacity.

• Investor-Facing — Exposure to investor relations, due diligence, or fundraising processes.

• Systems Fluent — Familiarity with Ramp, JustWorks, or similar spend management and HRIS platforms.

• Technically Grounded — Background in a technically complex or industrial industry — AI/ML, chemicals, biotech, life sciences, manufacturing, or similar.
