OTA is seeking Flexible Role Players to support immersive training exercises for students preparing to become federal officers and agents. This opportunity is designed for dependable individuals who want engaging supplemental work without spending every shift behind a desk.
Whether you work another job, have a non-traditional schedule, teach during the school year, work seasonally, or simply want an opportunity that provides more variety than traditional part time work, role playing offers a unique way to earn additional income while contributing to an important training mission.
Employees will portray different fictional characters and interact directly with students in realistic scenarios. OTA provides the character information and exercise requirements while the ideal individual brings communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to the role.
Responsibilities
- Portray assigned fictional characters during immersive training exercises.
- Learn character backgrounds and accurately recall relevant information during student interactions.
- Participate in interviews, conversations, and scenario-driven exercises.
- Remain in character throughout each assigned exercise.
- Respond naturally to changing circumstances while following established scenario guidelines.
- Adjust performances according to instructor feedback.
- Follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
- Participate in physical activities including running, crouching, kneeling, crawling, bending, reaching, jumping, and lying on the ground as required.
- Participate in controlled physical-search simulations.
- Comply with OTA safety requirements, security procedures, company policies, and standards of conduct.
Assignments are based on OTA's training schedule and can vary throughout the year.
- Most assignments last approximately 2 to 4 hours.
- Reporting times may range from 6:15 AM through 6:00 PM.
- Certain assignments may continue until midnight.
- Opportunities may include daytime, evening, and late-night assignments depending on training cycles.
- Short-term and recurring assignments can complement another job or existing schedule.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- U.S. Citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident living in the U.S. for at least 3 years.
- Valid U.S. REAL ID driver’s license.
- Ability to reliably report for scheduled assignments.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to memorize character and scenario details.
- Comfortable interacting with unfamiliar individuals.
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt in real time.
- Ability to perform required physical activities.
- Ability to successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
