Server Administrator - Level 2

Object Technology Solutions, Inc (OTSI) has an immediate opening for a Server Administrator – Level 2 Server Administrator – Level 2 (Hyderabad) Experience: 5+ Years MAJOR RESPOSIBILITIES Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments and virtual infrastructure. Manage and support virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, and related technologies. Implement automation and configuration management using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Manage OS-level security, hardening standards, and compliance requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve complex server, virtualization, and infrastructure incidents Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, bench marking, and resource optimization. Manage server hardware, BIOS configurations, firmware updates, and lifecycle maintenance. Monitor infrastructure health and recommend improvements for reliability and scalability. Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery processes. SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration. Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization technologies. Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Knowledge of server security, hardening, patch management, and compliance practices. Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Understanding of server hardware, storage, and performance optimization. Familiarity with monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery solutions. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. QUALIFICATION Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent. CERTIFICATIONS (PREFERRED) VMware Certified Professional (VCP) Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) CompTIA Server+ ITIL Foundation Certification Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate / AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (Preferred)
