Pharmacy Assistant - (Langley)

Otter Co-op is now accepting applications for a Full-Time Pharmacy Assistant to work at our Retail Centre located in Langley, BC.

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will support our pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient patient care while providing exceptional customer service. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy and contribute to an outstanding patient experience.

• →Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming experience for every patient.
• →Support pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions with accuracy and efficiency.
• →Process prescriptions, refill requests, and patient information using pharmacy software.
• →Direct clinical and medication-related questions to the pharmacist.
• →Maintain medication and supply inventory, including receiving orders, stocking shelves, and removing expired products.
• →OTC merchandising including, product assortment, shelf organization, product presentation, inventory management and promotional displays. 
• →Contact patients regarding prescription pickups and manage unclaimed prescriptions in accordance with pharmacy procedures.
• →Maintain accurate records while ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• →Keep the dispensary clean, organized, and compliant with health, safety, and infection control standards.
• →Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to support efficient daily operations and an exceptional patient experience.
• →Perform other duties as assigned to support the pharmacy and its patients
• →Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations as well as have:

• At least 2 years of relevant pharmacy assistant experience in a retail pharmacy
• Diploma from a recognized Pharmacy Technician Training course
• Pharmacy experience in a dispensary working a minimum of 1,000 hours is an asset
• Pharmacy salesperson/OTC Associate with a minimum of 1,000 hours is an asset
• Strong understanding of computer applications and Microsoft Word
• Strong aptitude to adapt to dispensary functions
• Must be available 7 days a week to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons and evenings
• This position is based at the Langley Retail Centre, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise
