Banqueting F&B Supervisor

Our client is a prestigious luxury hotel in Malta, known for delivering exceptional hospitality, personalised service, and memorable guest experiences. They are looking for an experienced Banqueting Food and Beverage Supervisor to join their team.

As a Banqueting Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will oversee the smooth running of banqueting and events, ensuring consistently high service standards and an exceptional experience for guests.

You will supervise the banqueting team, coordinate daily activities, liaise directly with event organisers, and work closely with other hotel departments to ensure every event runs efficiently and professionally.

• →Meet and welcome event organisers and guests, providing a professional and friendly first point of contact.
• →Supervise banqueting events and team members throughout service.
• →Ensure service standards and departmental procedures are consistently followed.
• →Ensure staff presentation and uniforms meet the required standards.
• →Provide excellent customer service and respond effectively to guest needs.
• →Maintain a thorough understanding of current and upcoming events and respond efficiently to last-minute changes.
• →Coordinate closely with the Kitchen and Housekeeping teams.
• →Ensure sufficient guest supplies, beverages, equipment, furniture, and other operational items are available for assigned functions.
• →Ensure all banqueting equipment, furniture, and fixtures are used correctly and maintained in good working order.
• →Coordinate the transportation of equipment for off-site catering events.
• →Act as the main point of contact for event organisers throughout the event.
• →Address any operational issues promptly and ensure events run smoothly.

• Currently residing in Malta.
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar supervisory role, preferably within a hotel or banqueting environment.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional approach.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working under pressure and flexible with long or split shifts.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Strong team spirit and the ability to lead and motivate colleagues.
• A valid local Food Handling Licence in accordance with the Food Safety Commission of Malta.
