Head of HVAC Technicians

Our client is a fast-growing technical services company operating across Malta, delivering high-quality HVAC installation, maintenance, and engineering solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The Head of HVAC Technicians will lead and coordinate the HVAC technical team across multiple active projects. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of installations, maintenance, and repair works, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be both a strong technical expert and an effective team leader.

• →Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of HVAC technicians across multiple sites and projects.
• →Plan and allocate daily and weekly work schedules to ensure efficient use of resources and timely project completion.
• →Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
• →Conduct regular site visits to monitor work quality, safety compliance, and progress against project timelines.
• →Act as the main technical point of escalation for complex faults, installation issues, and client concerns.
• →Mentor, train, and develop technicians, identifying skills gaps and supporting continuous professional development.
• →Liaise closely with Project Managers, Sales teams, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction.
• →Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and correct use of PPE at all times.
• →Manage tools, parts, and equipment stock levels required for ongoing works, coordinating procurement when needed.
• →Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of technical staff.
• →Prepare and maintain accurate job reports, service records, and technical documentation.
• →Contribute to continuous improvement of technical processes, standards, and operational procedures.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in HVAC installation and/or maintenance.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, including air conditioning, ventilation, and related mechanical/electrical components.
• Relevant technical qualification in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration, or a related field.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and people management skills.
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
• Good communication skills in English and Maltese.
• Valid driving licence.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations within technical/construction environments.
• Basic IT literacy (email, scheduling tools, reporting systems).
